Project Proposal
Following on from my original proposal for a home media entertainment hub using the Efika board, the XGI V3XT chip will provide a much needed boost for video relaying / decoding to HDTV resolution (although full video decoding at 1080i might still be a little far fetched)The main avenue for development / analysis would be :
- Possible development of a video upscaling device. Dependant on the XGI AGP board having a video in and DVI out, might be possible to develop a very customisable and \"tweakable\" upscaler for many normal SD inputs, creating a small SD->HD converter. (Possibly using a cutdown, re-compiled and re-coded version of the currently available DScaler Program http://deinterlace.sourceforge.net/)
