Security center
Security center
The security center is divided into two parts: client and server.
1. Client
1.1. Hardware
Client consists of industrial cameras, a router and a mini computer based on Efika motherboard.
Each camera is connected via Ethernet to the router which is connected to the mini-computer Efika (also via Ethernet).
1.2. Software
Gentoo Linux with controlling software is installed on the Efika mini-computer.
The client controlling system processes the images from the cameras. The images are then evaluated and sent to the server.
2. Server
2.1. Hardware
A server is based on the Open Server Workstation (OSW) which is connected via internet to the Efika mini-computers.
2.2. Software
Gentoo Linux with a database software (SQL server) is installed on the OSW.
The images from every client are stored in this database.
The OSW is also equipped with a http server; so it is possible to set the cameras, client software and browse the history log.
Description of the Security center function
The Security system is purposed for continual (based on settings) monitoring of the secured areas.
The cameras scan the secured areas and send the images to the client computer (Efika mini-computer).
The clients evaluate the images and sends them to the Security center server (OSW). The devices are connected via Ethernet.
The steady connection to the internet (GSM, Wi-Fi, ADSL, etc.) is required for client-server connection.
It is possible to set the sending interval of the client.
If the camera takes notice of a movement the exception occurs and the client sends the images to the server immediately.
The customer is informed by SMS that the exception occurred.
The customer controls the server via web interface.
It is possible to access images history, adjust camera settings and communication settings.
