Project Proposal
I really prefer OSW to HDB becasue i want to contribute to the gentoo ppc team testing packages and creating binaries. Of course it will be and open community machine. The idea is to donate the hardware to gentoo after the end of the project.
The nice part of the idea is to help in the integration of the new linux firewall (hipaq) and create a high performance firewall based in ppc
The idea is to create a fully functional and stable flavor of gentoo. With a binary repository and security updates.
I work in a big data center (proliannt) so i want the oportunity of try one of this nice machines and help gentoo.
i\'m a gentoo dev with xperience in ppc, embedded systems and data centers and crossbeam.
