Project Proposal
The Open Server Workstation will be used to improve the Debian PPC64 port. This goal can be achieved using the system as porting/development machine, which will be used by Debian developers and contributors to debug and compile packages for both 32-bit and 64-bit powerpc binaries.

In addition, the server will be used as builder for the entire debian distribution. Actually, debian-ppc64 port is developed, tested and autobuilt using a single PowerMac G5. Considering the large size of the Debian archive, which already compiles in a ppc-64 environment for 98% of the source packages, this could be a good test in order to enable Debian support for the Open Server Workstation.
