Project Proposal
Integrate the Efika MX 53 as a BSP layer to both the Yocto Project and OpenEmbedded Core project to build efficient software stacks for the Efika MX 53.Goal is to build the kernel and SoC specific software stacks, such as the Gstreamer framework, based on the FSL codecs.
I have started this effort today (Dec 6, 2011) for the i.MX53 Quick Start Board.

Would be glad to support i.MX6x under OpenEmbedded and Yocto.
My current i.MX53 work is available on github.
I've started off the work based on internal Yocto work at Freescale, and co-oping with the Freescale guys who are trying to get internal upstreaming going.
They already took over my voluntary job of maintaining PowerPC boards in Yocto, so I have all the time to concentrate on i.MX53.
I do have the i.MX53QSB and current work is the transition from LTIB to OpenEmbedded Core of the really old vendor kernel (2.6.35.3) and the codecs etc.
