Project Proposal
This project proposes to bring the Debian GNU/Linux operating system and the Enlightenment desktop environment to Genesi devices. The goal is a compelling, useful, and consistent end-user experience across a variety of device form factors (desktop, laptop, slate) and input devices (keyboard, mouse, touchscreen) with primary emphasis on supporting slate form factors that rely on finger-only touchscreens, often called "tablets". Thus, this project as proposed will have a primary focus on preparing the target solution stack for the support of Genesi-based "tablets". This work will be carried out in collaboration with and support of the efforts to bring the Bodhi Linux distribution to the various form factors of Genesi devices, bringing special attention and enhancement to "tablets" in that effort.Project Blog Entries
