Project Summary
The idea is to build an EFIKA and ODW/OSW PowerPC cluster, where EFIKA will participate as a diskless terminal. The boot loading will be made through the network from ODW or OSW.
Once built, one can use this cluster in educational establishments, f.ex. to study MPI technologies. This decision will win in price.
Good variant to use this cluster is creating the virtual libraries on it\'s basis, and more exact to build online reading rooms, because the silence factor is very important there and EFIKA is much more silent than any PC.
Also one can use this structure in cyber cafes, because Linux PowerPC is much more stable to virus attacks than x86 based architectures.
While creating automatization systems rather often one can need to create several automated workplaces for operators, displaying some data and performing minimum of operations. thus the important moment is low power consumption and price. Usage of EFIKA PowerPC based cluster is a great choice in such a cases.
