Project Summary
Hola :)I'm a Gentoo dev.
I work in a I+D biz. We have several projects about thin clients and fw/security appliances.
Actually we have our own OS for these tasks (linux based of course) and we use via epia based HW. So i really want to try the performance of one of thes nice ppc box in this tasks we our new embbeded system bases in gnap (gentoo).
Im interested too in media centers, a machine like efika can a nice adittion to any home.
I really think ppc machine can do a better job than a epia machine
So i'm interested in test performance and make a gnap based distro for this machines one fot desktop and another one for fw.
Of course the result of the development is opensource.

Well first steps. I will focus first in a miniserver home system. The system must have:
- FW
- Proxy
- http (cherokee)
- web apps (wordpress, gallery)
- mldonkey (with http interface)
- ddclient (or similar) to update dynamic ip
- mpd (music daemon)
- Web Configuration utility
So i will follow this steps:
- port eBox (or similar) to gentoo
- made an embedded system for efika (gnap based)
- port ebox to gnap
- TOTAL WORLD DOMIN...ejem write a nice doc
The next step is made a easy media center (music/video jukebox).
