Project Summary
My idea is to build a "Computerized system of localization and information to passengers on public transport means"The main function of this new kind of infomobility appliance is to help passengers and tourists to find the nearest busstop to the their goal and to plan means exchange to reach it if necessary. Many other services my be added easly to complete it: show busstop name via a LED pannel and a voice system, show breaking news or advertising, sell ticket, special hardware for blind people, ...
I think Efika5k2 and GNU/Linux are great for this purpose: versatility, reliability, low power dissipation, small footprint, different memory setup, CPU with enough power to control GPS antenna, RFID reader, Leds pannel, LCD and custom keyboad for User Interface, Voice Synthesis, ...

The User Friendly Interface is completed, it is very simple to understand end easy to use.
Now I'm working on vehicle position module.

While I'm waiting the Efika board I continue to develop the Idea under Linux/X86.
I completed GPS I/O Module, and now I'm going to desing the User Friendly Graphical Interface.
I will use SDL to make an easy portable GUI.
