Project Summary
Efika would be a very interesting project for me. I am an ICT teacher for primary (elementary) schools, and I go around a number of schools every day and I do anything from help teachers with ICT, creating school websites, and of course teach kids a wide range of subjects from the curriculum the whole through the use of ICT (we don\'t teach ICT for its sake at this level). Unfortunately, to startup the computer in a class its always a headache, you never know what software to find, if the computer is working properly, if everything is properly connected etc. You end up wasting a big chunk from the session just to start.
With Efika I can just take my own computer in class and engage kids in fun tasks using Morph OS, as its very easy to use and does all the stuff I need - simple text editing, photo manipulation, play sounds etc. Also, I am not bound to a classroom anymore, I can take it wherever I want, school hall, playroom etc., and of course even on school outings :) All I do is connect the Efika to a computer monitor or a projector.Project Blog Entries

I have installed Linux due to the fact that MorphOS is not available yet, hoping I can use it as a substitute. Unfortunately it is not powerful enough for my reasons (through Linux) as it is quite slow. Hopefully things will run smoother on Morphos.
In the meantime I will prepare a nice case for Efika, hopefully something which appeals to children and looks attractive (and not out of place) in a classroom. But first, I need to buy one of those super mini atx power supplies.
