Project Summary
Idea is to have always on and silent system for small home network. - Its primary job will be to share internet connection
- Administratable through web browser from other machines (firewall, web cache, content filtering system)
- Central place to store files, through sertain mechanisms accessible to outside. For example files that need to be edited/accessible from various places (documents, CAD files)
- Email center. Service in a background checks your mailboxes, downloads emails and makes them accessible through IMAP service or through Web Interface (accessible from outside, to use your mailbox from various places)
- Infra Red (through serial port) and Audio output will let this headless machine act as audio player. Optionaly controllable through various interfaces from other network machines.
