Project Summary
I\'m a heavy contributor on the mpc52xx related code in the Linux 2.6 kernel, specifically in the transition from arch/ppc to arch/powerpc. I\'ve been working closely with both Nicolas DET and Sylvain Munaut to bring mpc52xx support into the mainline kernel.Part of this work has been setting the device tree layout direction for embedded mpc52xx systems, and it is important to ensure that the embedded 52xx device trees be compatible as much as possible with the Efika device tree layout.
For this project, I would ensure all mpc52xx support in Mainline is developed/tested on the Efika, and coordinate cooperation between Efika developers and embedded mpc52xx designers. This will minimize the effort required for mpc52xx support and result in better quality/more capable device driver support.
