Project Summary
Many tv companies and peoples use nonlinear video editing every day, every hours and every minutes. Amiga many years used in that business. But now peoples want use for this more power machine thats not eats more energy and have small form factor for mobility. With efika and some kind of UPS for energy support we may done fast mobility system that can do nonlinear video editing without any electrical energy as fast as possible. Some software under linux, for example Cinelerra, Lives, Kino, DVR, thats present in most linux distrib, can help us. It`s very interesting idea for all tv companies, i think.
The main idea of the project is create fast mobile nonlinear video editing station with small UPS as energy source.

Corrective amendments are brought in the scheme of connection of the solar battery additional!!!

The essence of a problem consists in the following. At night the solar battery develops voltage, below a voltage which gives the accumulator. Because of it, at constantly connected solar battery, there is a category of the accumulator on it. For correction of the given problem the following scheme is offered:



The small explanatories concerning the scheme. The condenser is the buffer element necessary at simultaneous additional charge and work of the storage battery in loading. Its face value 10000 microF, a working voltage 25V. The diode can be to any, satisfying following conditions - a working current not less 3A, a working voltage not less 50V. The resulted scheme does not require adjustment and, at correct assembly and serviceable elements, at once is ready to work.

The solar battery:



Characteristics of the solar battery:
1. Nominal a voltage - 17V
2. The maximal current - 2.12A
3. The maximal capacity - 36W

As you could notice from previous mine blog, the system consumes in a nominal operating mode nearby 1.9A, that allows us under the certain favorable conditions of an environment, to use station as a whole with a feed from the solar battery, without the charge of a charge of the accumulator. As a result we receive true mobility, thus, with use of renewed power resources, as is one of the basic purposes of the given project.
The small deviation, concerning directly solar battery and in particular, its orientations in space, for its most effective use. As you can see from presented below figure, the sunlight can be four types:
1. Direct
2. Absorbed
3. Reflected
4. Indirect


Indirect the Solar battery will make an electricity even in cloudy weather, however the greatest efficiency is reached at absorption of a direct sunlight when the solar module is placed perpendicularly concerning solar beams. On past day time movement of the sun from the east on the west, seasonal variations take place also. On shown below figures variations of position of the sun for 1 - winter and 2 - summer periods of time are shown.



For the spring and autumn periods of time value of a corner of an inclination it is approximately equal to geographical breadth of district. For winter from this value it is taken away approximately 10-15, for summer increases approximately 10-15. If it is not obviously possible constant changes of a corner of an inclination of the solar battery, it accept equal to geographical breadth of district. By the way, it is concrete in the given project the solar battery it is established under a corner of 48 degrees. It is necessary to note, that for the automated orientation of the solar battery in space for reception of the maximal sunlight there are special the installations named geliostates.

Main advantages:
1. The finished station received by us allows to use energy of the sun, as renewed power resources that gives us mobility in moving and use of the given system to any of a part of world space.

The further work will be concentrated in following directions:
1. Studying of principles of work geliostat.
2. Connection compact, with a low level power consumption, devices of display of the graphic information of a format lcd, with an opportunity of management of data on the screen of the device.
3. Definition of the most suitable distribution kit of the operational system accessible at present for platform Efika, which will satisfy with the following made to their demands - high speed of work and presence of the necessary software for work of station.

The second stage of development mobility nonlinear video editing station is finished !!!

As you can see on presented above a photo, given installation of the systems consume 1.9A 12V, that makes nearby 23W, thus directly inverter of a voltage consumes 0.4A, that makes nearby 5W. The accumulator on 12V 17Ah is used. The general operation time of system with such characteristics, I think, can count up everyone.

Main advantages:
1. Use of the storage battery and the inverter of a voltage enables us of application of station in places not equipped by centralized power supplies long enough time, owing to low power consumption all system.

In the future use of the module of the solar battery, in a mode of constant additional charge of the accumulator, by capacity, greater than power consumption stations as a whole is planned, that will allow us to work very long period of time without replacement of the storage battery.

The first stage of development mobility nonlinear video editing station is finished !!!

The prototype is involved in the given project from the project № 318 in which Efika it is planned for use as a server of 5.25 forms of the factor. The external steel case, own manufacturing, allows to transport easily and safely to use station in any conditions of an environment.

Main advantages:
1. Low power consumption systems as a whole.
2. The compact sizes and ease in transportation.
3. The case from steel, the cost price nearby 7-8$.
4. Use of the small-sized built in power unit 220 volt.
5. Completely noisefree and coolerfree the decision.
6. There is no necessity for periodic cleaning interiors of system.
7. All sockets and controls are deduced on the forward panel.

Further connection of the inverter of a voltage for use as the power supply of the storage battery that will give us mobility of the given decision and its independence of the centralized electric network is planned.
