Development and Integration of the Open Graphics Project into/with the EFIKA

Project Summary

Working with the OGP (Open Graphics Project) http://wiki.duskglow.com/tiki-index.php?page=Open-Graphics to ensure that compatability and operability with the EFIKA is maintained.

Work with the Driver developers to make sure that the OGP products as the different phases are reached are fully supported on the EFIKA platform. [Would desire to do the same for the other Genesi platforms as well if interest is there]

Currently the OGP plans two stages to the development:
1) OGD1 -- FPGA based board to do the base development on. http://wiki.duskglow.com/tiki-index.php?page=OGD1 Currently OGD1 boards are in hand and in the process of getting set up to be utilized.

2) OGA1 -- First release of Open Graphics Project Graphics card with open source specifications, drivers, and eventually all associated IP. http://wiki.duskglow.com/tiki-index.php?page=FeatureList

I have been a background member of OGP since its inception. I have discussed this project with Timothy Miller and agreed to take on the coordination efforts entailed.

It would be useful to have 1 possibly 2 development systems available for use for hardware compatibility testing and driver development.

OGA prototype boards passed with flying colors.

Development board prototypes at OGP of the OGA version have passed all testing. The next stage is initial prototyping of the graphics card structures on the OGA which is due to start shortly.
