Efika 5200B Project
Grapically Programmable Industrial/Home Automation Controlin category Applications & Software
proposed by wmt on 20th February 2006 (accepted on 7th October 2006)
Project Summary
Provide a graphical environment to program interaction and exchange of data between multiple devices over a network. Devices will be able to update the central control with operational capabilities and allow for reasonable real time update of information. Will require hardware development down the road for desired I/O capabilities.
Currently have a proof of concept working with an 860 PowerPC setup and using Windows as the host/programming environment. Would port this to Linux and all running on the 5200.
Note the editorial in the April 2006 issue of EEPN on no central controller... along the lines of what a device like this could provide.
Control the behavior based on sensor inputs, what happens when this input is asserted or deasserted, timer blocks that control the length before or after an event, etc.Project Blog Entries
