Efika 5200B Project
OBD diagnostic platform with remote uploadin category Applications & Software
proposed by jshroff on 31st May 2006 (accepted on 7th October 2006)
Project Summary
I would like to develop a Diagnostic platform for fleet vehicles. This would be a universal OBD diagnostic platform that would decode diagnostics data available from the OBD port on vehicles and then upload the data when the vehicle reaches a home station or is in vicinity of a WiFi link.
The project would develop the in vehicle software and hardware on the EFIKA platform and would also create the backend software to allow for storing data from multiple vehicles and extensive analysis of the data centered around fuel efficiencies etc.Project Blog Entries

Project was approved bout three weeks ago so figured I would wait for the hardware, but looks like the hardware will take a while, no reason to need the hardware right away anyways.
Have started work on the design, the initial plan is to use an off the shelf protocol reader such as the one at www.obdpros.com
I have ordered an interface will report back on capabilities eyc
