Project Summary
The aim is to port and optimize the open source projects maintained by the Xiph.org Foundation, http://www.xiph.org/, specially the audio ones, enabling the Efika platform to be a complete open source based media computer.The port and optimization will begin by the project I\'m currently working on, the Speex library, and then will be expanded to the other libraries. We hope to have as many of the libraries as possible ported to the PPC processors with optimizations for the MPC5200.
For instance, there are two approved VoIP projects that will benefit from having Speex ported to the Efika. There are also approved media center projects that will benefit from this porting.
