Project Summary

The goal of this project is to build an installable image of about 100MB which contains all the needed applications and drivers to function as a videophone.
The solution will be based on OpenEmbedded (http://openembedded.org) and telepathy (http://telepathy.freedesktop.org/wiki/)

Efika skeleton added

OE now has a skeleton file for the EFIKA machine. which will build a 2.6.16 kernel supporting the 5200 cpu found on the EFIKA board.
I hope I'll get an EFIKA board with graphics hardware :)

Application and library status

Farsight, telepathy-sip, gstreamer 0.10 and jingle are already in OE, but need some testing and tweaking. I'll have to chat with the telepathy people about the video side of things.

My project was approved so now I can start harassing stelios about ppc support in oe :)
