Project Summary
Hi,

I\'m a Gentoo dev interested in non-x86 platforms and electronic mail related software. (work in Alpha and net-mail herds there).

So every idea mentioned here deals with Gentoo-based (gnap) solutions. And everything developed will be contributed back to the community using either GPLv2 or OSLv2.2 licenses.

When I saw this machine I thought I could turn it in:

a) A jukebox machine:

This will give the user the ability to get files streamed from the EFIKA. Everything from a web interface to ease its usage.

It will also be possible to play music using an mpd daemon. Also a web-based interface will be used.

b) A small plug & play mail solution

An integrated mail solution for small companies or home users. A web interface and a console interface via ssh could be offered to manage accounts, domains and several options in the mail solution. The software I\'m thinging on is Postfix, dovecot, openldap / mysql, clamav, etc. Also it could be possible to use external machines as databases / directory servers / mail filters so scalability is not a problem.

With Kind Regards,
Fernando J. Pereda
