* Add a 6 ports SATA PCI card
* Compile the Linux kernel with software RAID
* Make the SATA card work under Linux
* Setup the RAID array
* Integrate a bunch of Linux packages + dependancies, mainly:
- DHCP client + server
- Apache web server for remote admin
* Fit the distro on a DiskOnChip connected to the IDE interface, or a USB key (provided the board can boot from it)
* Build the web interface for administration + scripts
* Scripts for reporting defects and errors
* Optional: setup an encrypted partition (or find a convinient way to integrate encFS)
* Optional: setup Wifi interface
* Put everything in a custom box with a handle on the top
