Project Summary
An EFIKA based controller to provide access and control to multiple vendor/models of telescope mounts. The benefits being common control interface to multiple models of telescope. Additional benefits could include the ability to act as a remote network controller for a (physically) distant telescope.Provides:
Color Skychart Display
Serial/USB Connection for Multiple Telescope Models
Network Access for Updates
Network Access to act as remote telescope controller
Key Hardware Design:
Simple Color LCD Display - 320x200 to 640x480 color display to provide graphical star chart to aid in sky object selection.
Custom Button/Body Layout - To provide a simple interface to control slew of telescope and interact with skychart and settings menus.
Serial/USB Ports - To provide connections to multiple forms of telescope hardware.
USB Port (or possible internal storage) - To provide custom sky object or telescope configuration storage.
Network Access - To provide the ability to download updates to software and possible setup as remote telescope control server.
