Project Summary
Many people remember back in the day, GWBasic and friends. There does not exist anything so nice to create games with today.My favourite would have to be QBasic. With all of its limitations, it had a lot a developer should need to create most games and applications. Such as a nice help index and subroutine segregation.
An application with similarities to QBasic could be brought up and used to create a nice collection of games or other applications. The language need not be basic, as there are a number of viable languages.
The underneath operating system could be a linux, bsd or even one of the other ppc projects here.
Theoretically the thing could run through a serial port, as it could be in a text mode with ncurses-like commands for the interface. That would make it easier to develop in some situations.
