README: How To Submit Projectsin category Operating Systems

Example Project
Please be descriptive! A one-line or two-line proposal is not what we are looking for. Go into detail. Include links, competitive products. Think of this as a real development project as you would propose to IBM or Freescale (this is really what you are doing..). If you have a business case, all the better.
Please be innovative! Anyone can boot Linux on our boards. Maintaining generic system packages really doesn\'t need specialised hardware. Optimizing specifically for the processor is a good project - if the software really needs it. Tuning multimedia applications or data processing for specific processor variants is a good example of useful work. However compiling an application with GCC autovectorisation, is not (unless you are looking for autovectorisation bugs!)
Please be qualified! If you want to port an operating system please be sure you can prove that you have what it takes. Enthusiasm alone is not enough.Project Blog Entries
