giulivo, send it back to bplan so they can determine what happened (see address on the Genesi website under contacts).

We will send you a new CPU card. Please send us your shipping address with local telephone number to bbrv@genesi.lu

When is the next Crux update? :-)

R&B

a message just to explain what seems to be the problem of my cpuboard, in some simple steps:

1 - cpu fan damaged and hen blocked
2 - cpu dissipator really hot for a long period
2b - the two pegs wich substain the dissipator heat too much
3 - after a while, pegs cracked, dissipator detached an then ... fire

but keep attention, the cpu seems ok, a component on the left of the cpuboard seems instead damaged by the extremely high temp of the green board

regards

Maybe the future CPU cards could come with a passive cooler to profit from the fine PPC/G4 low power dissipation design and enhance the general reliability standards.
