Well, as far as interested developer/user driven events go, the EFIKA had its best success in Hungary (SceneCon was great Karoly - you and your organizing team did a very good job too and you followed up very well with the OpenWRT Project as you have for years with OpenPascal, etc. [1]), Poland as mentioned here (Riverwash [2]) and in other threads (i.e., AmiParty4[3]), and in Germany (thanks to Geit@Home [4] and other such events).
Then, there were more formally oriented events, towards academics for example, such as 6th International Workshop on Ambient Intelligence and Embedded Systems in Finland [5] and the University of Tokushima's Science Festival in Japan [6], or towards more commercial use such as demonstrated recently at NI Week were the EFIKA headlined with QNX [7].
It takes all these kinds of events to move an architecture (PowerPC [8]) and a platform (the EFIKA) forward [9]. When these things all can happen simultaneously and compound [10], then small companies like Genesi can grow. Thanks to all of you we are [11]!
In the meanwhile, we are really looking forward to getting the EFIKA2 Developer Program started, so please update your Projects!
R&B :)
