Hi,

I'm trying to setup the XGI Volari V3XE card that came with my Efika. It seems that the sgi driver from Xorg (version 0.9.1) doesn't work too well: the colors are messed up. For example in the default Debian gdm theme (http://cdd.debianbrasil.org/~si0ux/artw ... ue-0.5.png), the blue background becomes purple, and the white edit box becomes yellow. And some of the menus became transparent!

Does anyone know what to do? I looked at the changelog for newer versions of the driver, but didn't see anything significant.

Shouldn't you use the old sis-driver instead?

I'm confused. Which old driver do you mean?

Yep, that's what I'm using. I typed "sgi" by mistake :-)

So, does this driver work fine for everybody else?

IIRC I had some problems with that driver as well. The "real"
driver Genesi has the source code for, was abit too hard to
compile in Debian. I'm sure it's possible, but I didn't really
have all the time in the world, two days before the EFIKA-
presentation at PUSH. So I put in a Radeon 9200SE instead.

I could try. Where can I get this source? Is it free software?
