Hi Folks, pull that CPU card out of your ODW or PegasosPPC and make sure that the CPU heatsink is firmly seated. Please make sure the heatsink holder is in place and the fan (if included) is CLEAN and WORKING! 8) Those machines are mostly a couple of years old now. We do not make the CPU cards any longer, so please maintain your machines! We don't want to respond to your repair requests negatively, but we cannot replace a CPU that has been fried.

Best regards,
R&B :)

Better yet all ODW owners should CHANGE OUT the heatsink/Fan. Do yourself a favour - get a quieter, cooler solution. I have a nice Copper Vantec cooler that looks cool, is quiet, and cools better. Just be careful not to get one too heavy as the cpu mounts vertically not horizontally like a pc.

it's not my intention to do some advertising but Relec, a Pegasos/Efika reseller in Switzerland sells a nice CPU fan for Pegasos, i've been using it without problem here.

Advertising is totally OK, especially when it is a top-quality business partner.

Soundsquare

Thats cool, but FYI any VGA heatsink/fan combo works with Peg cpu. Also, most Northbridge coolers work as well.

I also recommend a case with a CPU temp monitor in case your fan does go out, you will notice and can shut down. Especially now that no replacement/fix is avail.

Nice pix !

But, just be careful while doing a fan change. Because a friend of mine blowed his Pegasos's CPU while doing this...
