The first round of Packman packages is uploaded to ftp://spike.fa.gau.hu/pub/pmppc102

I compiled everything necessary to get MPlayer running. It needs some testing, as without a video card I could not test it...

You are welcome! Watch this thread, I'll post here, if I upload new / updated packages (if I don't forget, as usual...). I'm compiling the rest of the packages and hope to upload something during the night (when it does not block my ADSL...).

My ODW was working all day long for the past few days, so I have now a lot more packages uploaded. Still not all, but hope to have all the latest and greatest available before Christmas :-)

All the latest Packman packages, which could be recompiled on PPC, are uploaded now. So, if anyone waited with upgrade / install, until they arrive: they are here. I hope you like my little present for Christmas :-)

While I was working on my EFIKA, the Packman team was adding many packages to openSUSE 10.2 version of their repository, about 580 to the existing 130. Most of these were long available for 10.1. My Pegasos was working on them all over the weekend, so now I'm at about package #351. The large update is expected at the end of this week or early next week, as compiling packages is not the only job of my machine :-)

Please let me know, if you have any troubles regarding these packges! When the 10.2 packages are uptodate, 10.1 will follow. Changes there are a lot smaller.

Good news: after many days of compiling software, the long awaited update of Packman packages for openSUSE 10.2 PPC are available. Over 500 packages are uploaded to the usual location: ftp://spike.fa.gau.hu/pub/pmppc102/

Many of them are tested by me, but of course, I could not try all of the packages. If you have a problem, please let me know, and I'll try to fix it.

Have a lot of fun using openSUSE!
