The basic design looks attractive, however it would be comparably expensive to manufacture. Are there any real-world samples of this case or just computer-generated graphics?

What makes me puzzled is the fact that the display appears to have a bent surface. I have a difficult time trying to understand the benefits of bent display over a flat one. Perhaps you would like to explain the reasoning behind this design decision.

Furthermore, the enclosure might not be high enough to include an EFIKA with a graphics card. In order to properly judge this, it would help if there was information about the size / dimensions of the case on the web page mentioned above. Also, you might want to list a target price if this is a serious inquiry to gauge interest of EFIKA afficiados.

Now to the dimensions. What we have here can only be a tablet-pc with a LCD, which is not bend, of about 8,5"-9.3" with a 16:9 ratio ! (you can calculate the dimensions because everyone knows the dimensions of a USB port)
This leaves us aproximately 28mm for the Efika. And there goes the Bomb. The efika, which i do not own or have here at the moment, is at least 30mm, also you can see this on pictures because of the combined USB-eth port. Which leaves us -2mm for the case ?

But we use one option : Scale things up !

If I make the same calculatipon in reverse order with a 14" 16:9 LCD, availability of such products not considered, I get something near 45mm.
Combined with an external PSU,internal battery, and an Riser-like adapter, which gives the oportunity to mount VGA and MB side-by-side, this is absolutely possible.

If i am right the "docking-station" which I can "identify" gives a lot more options on expansions.

Give more details on the real thing please.

Yes; those calculations were correct. The original design was intended for a laptop motherboard; however, with a couple of modifications, specifically, increasing the dimensions as a whole, the case could be made to fit an EFIKA.

The bent screen is only due to the nature of these graphics; it actually would have a flat screen (thank heavens!). A docking station like the one show would not be required thanks to the nature of the EFIKA, although we could figure out a way to incorporate one.

With the EFIKA board itself, + graphics board, battery, psu, etc., this design would run around $500-600. Too much?

The EFIKA needs about 50 mm space to fit
a fanless Radeon card.

yes i think so. I don't see the point in having a housing being more expensive than the board itself.
The Efika is not a desktop machine, there's no point in turning it like an iMac.

I understand; whether or not this is developed for EFIKA, it will be developed; it's being targeted towards professionals in the medical field who need durable, transportable tablets.
