I received my efika today, which is all nice and good, but the problem is it won't boot. I connected it to my PSU and via a serial cable to my main computer. At first everything seemed to be in order, it printed it's usual bootup diagnostics and dumped me to the "ok" prompt. Here however, it didn't take any input from my terminal program. I tried different PSUs thinking that a faulty one might be to blame (too low currents or something related, PSUs aren't really my main area of interest). But the problem persisted. And now, a couple of tries later, I won't even get as much as a single character over the serial line. What should I do?

Try another keyboard :)

As I connected the Efika over a serial line, I didn't even have a keyboard connected to the unit itself. The keyboard connected to my main computer works just fine.

I did initially have some problems with the serial console. Turning off hardware handshaking on the host port solved the issue for me.

Might want to give that a try...

Yes! With handshake you will only see output
but you can't send anything.

Fuck. This probably means I broke the unit while trying different PSUs :(
All that happens now is that the SOC gets hot really fast. Damnit, I was looking forward to working on my project and now it's all for nothing.

Eeh? How many Amps did you nuke it with?

All I did was try 3 different working PSUs, since I hadn't used any of them for some time and thought that was where the problem was. Somehow I must have short circuted something.
