Hi guys,

after talking with SoundSquare during the Alchimie about the future of our favorite platform, he pointed to me the fact that you're looking for original case design for EFIKA.
As a bit of introduction, here you have certains of my past projects :

http://www.amigaimpact.org/modules/newb ... mpost52464
or this one :
http://www.amigaimpact.org/modules/newb ... mpost26887
(It was in a "old radio design" day ;))
or this one :

As you can see here, I'm asking what ppl are looking for into a box, justifying my options, etc (I must confess I take a great pleasure to do this work of conception, adaptation and modification ^^).

I'm also an eternal geek, trying things like this one :

So if you think I can help you for the case of the EFIKA, don't hesitate ;)

PS : I've forgot to mention that I've once make "something real"(or give it a try, at least) with my draws and modelization, some skeleton pre prototype :

I've abandonned this idea because of the excessive high of the Peg'CPU card.

Warning ! This guy is seriously talented and with some help on the production/prototyping stuff i'm sure he would be able to design a very lovely and efficient case for the Efika. He was the only one with a passive cooled Peg2 G4 at the show and the thing was running well !

what about submitting it to the official Efika projects ? is it too late for that ?

A desktop case is deperately needed for many
EFIKA developers. I say, go for it!

I've found a slim slot in DVD reader, and waiting the validation of the project to buy it ^^ I've a tons of ideas for now :D

Edit : I've retrevied this after a little search : it was a little sketch of a "new old-gen" amiga-like box :)

Hope you enjoy it ;)

Back to this time, I was hoping to include a full size keyboard in this box ; plus it was for the most a "design sketch" (I guess a "draft" is the better english word for this). Next I've managed to drawn in a coherant scale, with awful results (dues do the excessive high of the Peg's CPU card and some technological choices mades by the AI readers, like "no riser card" and "no slim cdrom"). It was anyway far behind the knowledge of my brother (who modelize my draws) to modelize (the round shapes are very difficult to make).

Nothing to do with it, I've drawn 3 "design sketchs" at this time, one catching my attention more than the others (it is in the spirit of the one bbrv "mades" on another topic).

I'm going to scan something in the next days ; stay tuned ;)

I hope you good luck for your reference case design pals.

[for those who haven't understand, my project was rejected]

i'm so sorry to hear about that Mindo', i know you had great ideas and energy to work on that project. Please keep up with it, it may not be an official/sponsored project but i'm ready to help you to purchase an Efika so you can work on your cases once it will be available for us, end users.

Thx for your support SSQ ! Hope we could talk about this soon. I'm not going to abandon this project ; perhaps the Genesi team change his mind later in it.

After reading some other posts on rejected projects, may I ask why my project has been refused ? (it's just a question, it imply no answer if no one want to give it)
Is it because of a too short description (so I rewrite it ... don't know what to put in anyway), or is there another reason ?
