OpenDarwin has ALWAYS run on the PowerPC platform. Darwin is the very
foundation of MacOS X.

Without specific support I doubt it will run verbatim on the Pegasos
(especially lacking RDB partition support), however all of the hardware
on the Pegasos seems to be supported under OpenDarwin x86.

If someone wants to port it they are free to.

what exactly adds MacOS X to OpenDarwin? Just a desktop shell? I guess is something more.

The OS kernel in mac os x is 100% darwin?

I m quite confused :P

Would it be possible a Gentoo Darwin? Like Gentoo macos, or gentoo solaris ;)

No idea what you are speaking about, and please refrain from this kind of
aggresive all caps crap.

You are welcome to help with the open darwin port.

Contacting the OpenDarwin team isn't enough. They have to accept a
machine and have time and manpower and MOTIVATION to port it. It's
not only impolite to throw free hardware at people and expect a
result, it's also fairly unproductive.

Maybe in the future OpenDarwin will get a few machines. The price
of the ODW is coming DOWN (it will never get any higher), for
example right now if you want to support Gentoo you can buy an
ODW with Gentoo from the Gentoo Store (preorders until 1st March)
for $999, $100 of which goes directly to the Gentoo Foundation.

Buying Mac Mini for the purpose of porting to the Mac Mini, why
would they need to do that? Apple already did it for them. OpenDarwin
installs, boots and runs PERFECTLY on the Mac Mini already. Remember
OpenDarwin is derived from Apple's MacOS X kernel. There is no market
for Mac users running OpenDarwin in that case either - they can just
run REAL Darwin.

I prefer the other measurement, 499 Euro for the minimac, and 499 Euro for the
pegasos mainboard with G4 CPU. Still a bit overpriced for the peg, but it is
expandable, and has two ethernet ports.

Two ports, three controllers. Where two are gigabit controllers, whereas the Mac Mini only has a 10/100Mbit eth.
And it isn't conforming to a standard form factor, moving the mobo to a different case will probably void warranty.
