Hello, I still don't know what types of graphic cards will run in EFIKA. If PCI or AGP and what types if ATI or NVIDIA or 8500, 9200, 5200 etc... And what types of riser cards will run there. The only thing which EFIKA doesn't have is a graphic card, it should be integrated to a motherboard. And where is a documentation on EFIKA or is it compatible with Pegasos II ? Somebody tell me.

Hello.

It will be a XGI Volariâ„¢ V3XT, either as a graphics card or/and integrated on the motherboard. Info about this was already here and very easy to find on this very site (you should read what has been written, it makes little sense to post information if people won't read it and then ask questions about it ;-)).

I would expect documentation of the Efika to be bundled with the motherboards when they ship. No Efikas has been delivered yet. If there are no more last minute delays, maybe they will be produced sometime next week?

We have been working to overcome some unexpected difficulties with the new chip (which has been "upgraded" a couple of times since June 2005). We should have some good news this week.

R&B :)

I was positive that this had already been addressed, but my search of the forum revealed nothing. What are the dimension of the EFIKA? I am working with a custom case design firm, and I'd like these numbers ASAP.

I made a paper box for it to test that theory, and it measures 12x16x5cm with a graphics card and riser, or 3cm tall if you remove the graphics card and riser. Somewhere between for any other card without a big heatsink glued to the top.

Greetings folks,

I can't tell how bad it feels when you get the chance to participate in a Developer Program such as this, you go after a chance, thanksfully you have the chance and you're told you will have the chance to get an EFIKA board but still you don't get anything.
Sorry if I was straight-forward, but that's how I feel.

Looking forward to some news regarding this.

Javier

Hi Javito! Have you registered? :D Has your Project been approved?

If you have registered and been approved, you have not to worry. We have not shipped any boards yet.

R&B :)

The EFIKA news will be posted (but it has not been yet). The program will continue. We have some good news and things are moving along. We know we need to post information about this and will do so over the weekend.

R&B :)

its good to hear some news about the efika. It was like the quiet before the storm. Any chance of any details regarding the placement of mounting holes on the board being released a bit early

...and we keep saying there will be some news.

Here is the News:

The EFIKA design has been comfirmed. The 5200B has some new code to go with it and the extensibility of the platform has been extended beyond its embedded roots.

Now, we need to schedule the production.

R&B :)
