For me
If "David R" does not have a Pegasos, well, how could he solve any bug then ?

czp : you said it was working in beta3.
Was xgl modified since then ? Is is linked to ATI driver or to xgl ?

the pegasos is not the only PPC machine he could get his hands on, it could be a mac, it will probably be a mac.

By using a Mac for example. There is a number of them available at SUSE. There were some severe X.org related bugs, which I found on Pegasos, but also reproduced on Macs internally by SuSE.

Yes, Xgl was modified a lot. This was one of the few software without feature freeze during the testing phase, as it is entirely developed internally by Nove/SuSE engineers. PPC and OSS 3D drivers are not (yet) officially supported by Xgl, as their current target is x86 business desktops :-(
