Thanks to the pegasos-pdf I've managed to make a clean
install from a Kubuntu 5.10 cd and it looks really good.
But there is a popup at start that tells me

"Sound server informational message:
Error while initializing the sound driver:
device: default can't be opened for playback (Invalid argument)
The sound server will continue, using the null output device."

and audio does not work ... is there a way to get it working ?

Do you use a specific audio PCI card ?

No. I use the onboard sound.
I found programs where I can set
the datasource (oss) and then it works. So it's probably a setup
problem of alsa ... but I'm too
lazy to search for it ;-)

I've seen somewhere that you had to edit /etc/modules and add the following lines :

snd-mixer-oss
snd-pcm-oss

Anyway... sound does not seem to work for me right now... Will check that later...
