 Post subject: help ! e2fsprogs

after a fresh install of my debian on pegasos2 i tried to install xorg
by apt but i always have :

Internal error, could not early remove e2fsprogs ....upss
i tried also apt-get install -f
does not help---


also if start kde i have to wait 10 min to get the desktop ...

need some help..

Hi!

Not sure if it helps, but you could try to remove the e2fsprogs package with:

dpkg -r e2fsprogs

alternatively you could add an --force-depends, but it'll open BIIG dependencies...

If you can't "-r" it maybe -p (not sure, you should check "dpkg -help" for purge)
which should delete all cfgs related to the e2fsprogs).

When finally done don't forget to install the new version over it...

No guarantee to above instrs.., probably a debian-pro has a better solution :)

didnt help i can not delete e2fsprogs arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
is mol working with SUSE 10 so i maybe switch to suse

Bad luck it didn't help...

What is the output from

dpkg -r e2fsprogs ?

Did you try purge or --force-depends?

Maybe e2fsprogs is not configured properly:

you could f.e. try to "dselect" and "configure unconfigured packages" within...

ps: MOL very likely also works under Suse, but I haven't tested..

damn ....is reinstalled my full debian and after apt-get update i have the same problem again..................help

where is sven ? could this be a problem with aupgrading to kernel 2.6.12 ?
