helo,

Santa came with a Smarttop :).

I upgrade it with Debian Sid armhf with your Efika Image, and now Debian in the box no more SD card is needed.

You've done a great job and there is no comparaison between Maverick and Debian armhf, everything is faster and reading video works out of the box on my LCD TV.

Now I would like to try to compile Xbmc on armhf, as smarttop will be a little to tricky to do this, I'm thinking about cross compilation on my Debian amd64.

Which kind off cross compilation environment do you use ?
I've begun to try the one on Debian Wiki but did',nt work very well.

Thanks again for the realy good job and happy new year to every body.

Hi and happy new year.

Firstly you've got a nice christmas present !

Why you don't try to compil it on your efika ?

If it doesn't work you can wait a little. I was with the guy who do debian-multimedia.org. Like armhf is now an official debian port (is it true ?) he will add armhf to his repo.

Have Fun

Thank you,

Yes a good present :).

I've got errors during the ./configure and would try to run the procedure faster at least during configure and make debugging :)

I'm with him to :), I've find a way to get a armhf chroot with multistrap and qemu on a amd64 but didn't begun to test xbmc compilation.

Could post the procedure on the forum if this will interest some people here. Say me :)

Yes armhf is nearby to become an official debian arch in Sid and perhaps in weezy.

I'm really happy with this little box and the good work made around it :)

Pascal.

Hi,

I've made a chroot with qemu and multistrap but the configure and make failed.

I came back to the samrttop and find the reason of the first configure error.

I'll explain what I did in the post I've open about xbmc.

It can help you :
http://debian-multimedia.org/dists/unst ... ary-armhf/

Just add the repo in your sources.list
