Do you think it might be possible to bring the clock speed of the smart tops up? If possible, how would this be accomplished(changing a capacitor? software?) and what are the problems?(ex. temperature)

800MHz is the maximum. You cannot overclock the ARM core, or it pushes all the clocks on the system higher as they're derived from 3 core PLLs with limited granularity..

In short, just don't even think about it anymore.
