Aye, I wasn't really intending my first post to sound like a complaint, so I'll briefly introduce myself. :)

Well, after the last piece of IBM-compatible hardware to my name died in my hands, I decided it was time for a new computer. So I ordered a MX Smartbook from a certain site I had been window-shopping since the release of the Pegasos II...And I will say, this is such an amazing little machine! I've used computers daily since I was a toddler, and it hasn't had this much of a sense of adventure since the Apple II days. :D I guess that's what the PC experience does after a while.

That aside, I do have one tiny issue: On the lower-right corner of my keyboard, keypresses in that area, notably from the down arrow to right-Ctrl, tend to press the keyboard inward quite a ways, and the keyboard then bangs back up rather loudly. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue before I go diving into the hardware myself. :P

Have you tried taking out and reinserting the keyboard panel?

Here's how.

I haven't had this happen either. At least my keyboard has very little flex for something so tiny.

I've had my smartbook since the tail end of march or so and
I have never had this happen to me, doesn't sound right at all.

I would try and see about taking it out and putting it back in or something. If that doesn't work I would get a hold of someone at Genesi about this.

Well, taking it out and reseating it did the trick! :D

Now I'm 100% satisfied with this thing. :) I'm not going to be missing any of my old Intel hardware at all. :P

Also, I get an average of about 7:15-7:45 of battery life on a single charge on this thing. Just...remarkable. To everyone at Genesi (as well as Freescale and Pegatron) , thank you for bringing such wonderful hardware to materialization. :)

Posts like this make me smile a lot, and make me really glad I took the job offer when I got it to work here.
