I'd say it's the power of the European taxation rates! ;-)

During my latest visit to Florida this Christmas/New Year holidays, I reflected over the low impact their (Florida's various counties) really low 6-7% tax rates had on the price tag on consumer goods.

I don't know whether tax is even included at all in Genesi USA's listed webshop prices (I think not, since that seems to be the US way? And if so, what rate?), but in the Genesi Europe EU webshop a "staggering" *19% VAT* is included! *As well* as the shipping cost anywhere in the EU!

So I don't really think it's fair to say "Oh and in the end its $ = euro's again"! ;-) Apples and Oranges!

(BTW, in Sweden we have 25% VAT on most goods! Yes, that is *a quarter* of the price added on top of the price tag! Needless to say, I'm happy to pay the German VAT any day! Or even better; Florida tax! :-) )

...and don't forget the customs fees! ;-)
