Hello, all! Please tell me how to build lirc and mol modules properly for my self-built kernel?
MOL's modules compiled ok but don't work. modprobe says "Invalid module format".
Lirc's modules don't compile at all. If i use dpkg-reconfigure lirc-module-source, tell it to build modules for me, and point to my kernel source it says that it's not a valid kernel tree. If i try to execute "debian/rules binary-modules KSRC=/usr/src/kernel-source-2.6.8-pegasos" it fails because can't find debian.rules file inside my kernel source tree.
How to fix up the things? Please don't suggest me to download already built kernels and modules because: a) they are too large; b) i want to know how to do it myself.

Hi!
Maybe you changed your gcc to an other version?
(ie kernel compiled f.e. with gcc-3.3, your new module with gcc-3.4)...
Just a guess...
Good luck,

I've rebuilt both kernel and MOL modules. Now MOL modules can be modprobe'd but i can't run MOL, it crashes. :-(
make-kpkg doesn't work because it requires debian/rules file in my kernel source tree. How to obtain/generate it?
