Can you give some more info on the status of opengl es on the new efika?

What version will it be.
Will it work without x.
Will it be a precompiled kernel module?

* OpenGL ES2.0 and OpenVG 1.1
* Yes
* There is a precompiled kernel module and precompiled GL libraries.

A nice app for OpenGL ES2.0: http://blog.wolfire.com/2009/09/preview ... -canvas3d/ Is there still anything left what can't be done in a browser? :-)

Hmm only if its syntax does not become to difficult ... we have vrml, web3d, now google made something also ... and now webkit brings webgl ...

I have not yet look at what webkit brings, but the others are a tad to complicated.

Also as nice it would be to have 3d webbrowser i doubt its practical use other then for product demonstrations ... (or is it only me who prefers irc over a 3d chatapplication :-) )

I think the point is more as a Flash alternative - 3D accelerated games and such written in JavaScript.
