Maybe Sweden is alone, but Linux Netbooks are no longer
beeing sold. 90% of all Netbooks run Windows. People
gladly paid an extra 100 EUR for Windows.
Running Citrix over 3G is of course possible, but not
exactly pleasant. Consumers are used to thick clients
and not thin. Thin clients work for enterprise-use.
Running Citrix over 3G is really not bad. The bandwidth requirement is not that huge; latency can be a problem but is usually absorbed by the Citrix protocol.
And, for the price, and the battery life, I think using Office over a 3G connection would be worth it considering (just imagine, you never have to deal with a Windows Update or Patch Tuesday ever again...)
