"Using the web" increasingly involves watching videos / movies, listening to music or playing online games. It is not unreasonable for a potential customer to ask for the option to connect a netbook to a large screen, be it for a business / school presentation or strictly for entertainment purposes.

HDMI on a netbook is becomming fairly common now.

That is a bold statement to make. I am afraid it is not true.

Here are just two random examples out of many:

I should note that this is only true because it is a much smaller connector than VGA or DVI - in our case it just won't fit.

The product description of the Efika Netbook right now on the website does not match precisely what we are going to ship; it represents the last major revision but there have been some changes made (which most people will very much appreciate). The developer edition boards will come with LCD/VGA for the time being and the Open Client will come with HDMI (with a build option for VGA at a later date for lower cost markets).
