Hello together,

I got a very strange effect on my Peg2. It seems as my firewire is gone... Of course, my first thought was a misconfigured kernel/udev/etc.. But even when using the gentoo-boot-cd, it won't work.

I want to use an external IDE harddrive, connected via a firewire case. The harddrive is working, I tried it with another computer where it works flawlessly. Using the boot-cd, nothing shows up in the kernel log. ieee1394 and ohci1394 are loaded at boottime. The most strange effect is, when I unplug and replug the firewire cable at the pegasos, some USB devices get disconnected (and immediatly reconnected - but then with another address). The port is "disabled by the hub"? This happens with the boot-cd and with my normal system.

Can anybody please tell me that this is a known problem and can be solved by doing this and that (of course only veridic) ;-) ?

Thank you very, very much!
M
