If you plan to upgrade to 2.6 I suggest that you do that before trying to get the audio drivers running. In fact, I highly recommend that you switch to 2.6.11 or newer since previous kernels only supported the Pegasos via third party patches.

rodrigo..

I agree with Dholm here. He is after all an expert

The 2.4 Debian kernel has KNOWN SOUND PROBLEMS - the best thing to do is go to a 2.6.x kernel since ALSA support is built into the kernel AFAIK.

I used to boot 2.6.8 kernel with (testing),
i had:
- ALSA
- No MOL-MODULES
- NETWORK
- ETC..
I changed to 2.6.11 kernel with (testing),
i had:
- No ALSA
- No Network
- MOL-MODULES
I changed to 2.6.11 kernel with (unstable),
- ALSA don't work, OSS does.
- Network works!
- MOL-MODULES works! :P

The second problem i experience with 2.6.11 and unstable is,
that after a reset MOS can't init the ethernet device. I need to
shutdown the system and wait a few minutes to reboot again
before it works again. :(

Gr,
Felix.

Yes, this is some sort of bug with the Peg. You have to power down the box in order to reset the ethernet for some reason. I've even had to pull the plug before. Seems like this is maybe an issue with OF or so??? Could be mos kernel bug. This also happens with the Gentoo Live Game cds.

There is also a clock bug that puts the mos clock to 1999.. but that is mostly fixed now with latest mos kernel.

As far as 2.6.11:

1. Why doesnt Alsa work?

2. the mol modules worked "out of the box"? what ver of mol are u using?

3. Are you using Debian?
