It seems that Pegasos users have several different Linux distributions.
Are there any step by step installation guides ?
Are there any Linux / Pegasos ML ?

So far I had no luck with YDL, niktarix and Ubuntu (see other post). I did not try Gentoo yet as I was thinking that I could be up and ready in a couple of hours with a more user oriented distro.
Now I see Soundsquare post and see he has got some help from the Gentoo dev team. That tells me that it may no be that easy.

about Gentoo you can use the Gentoo Handbook for PPC :

i used it and followed it without any problems until it came to the kernel stuff, but all missing infos can be found here (see David Holm's posts about make.conf file, and about simplier way to build your kernel). I only had a few issues that got solved easily with the help of David and a bit of thinking from myself.
I have to mention that i am (was) a complete newbie about linux before that.

Debian installation procedures can be found on this board too i think.

Just substitute fr with en in the URL and you'll get the english one
