MorphOS is already scheduled for release after that so we don't have to do anything :)

"Just two more days!" (TM)

I wonder if the date is still good or if he has slipped a bit?

Exciting! :-)

The 'hosted' version is already available. It had some crash bugs when I tried it a few weeks ago, but most of the time it worked without any problems. I ran it under openSUSE. It is available at http://aros.sourceforge.net/download.php as 'nightly' build, look for linux-ppc-system and linux-ppc-contrib.

Well, even if not sexy, it is an important first step towards a native port, so please give it a try! I tried it, but as I'm not an Amiga/AROS/MorphOS guy, I can't really say if something is a bug or a feature, except for crashes :-)

The problem with the hosted PPC version is that if you find a bug and want to search it, it is difficult to recompile because the compiler needs to be patched. It was the case when I tried months ago (and the main reason why I did nothing on AROS).
I think the problem is the same to compile the native version.

With AROS on Efika and Sam440, I hope there will be a SDK ready to install and run.

But at least there is a new nightly build of the 'hosted' version. All built during the same night, which is promising :)

We called Bill Evans (and Randy) last week and left a message...

There has been no answer yet.
