Yes. I'm running 1Gb right now.

However, it does not handle two 1 Gigabyte modules, which sucks.

It should as long as you enable high mem support in the kernel.
Using 1 * 1024 is much more stable than 2 * 512.

Yes it does. I have one 1Gb module in my system, and it's running just fine.

There is a possibility of instability?
Does anyone know how or why?
Is this with MorphOS or linux?  (or both?)

Trikk,

Out of curiosity, what is the latency on that 1GB stick?

I'll give all the specks. It's Kingston DDR333 CL2.5 REG ECC 1GB sitck.

I had two, but putting them both in my Linux would not even successfully boot due to the issues discussed here all so often.

Try this...

http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts. ... I&tabid=AM

The newest boards work fine with 2 x 1GB for a MySQL Server, but it is expensive. If you can get by with 1 GB and 2 x 512 MB it is much cheaper.

R&B :-)

Hm.

I think I'll pass on that. My current memory is CL2.5, which theoretically gives me a bit better performance. The 1GB is quite enough, I'll install the second comb should they supply a firmware patch that makes it work.

Just curious, what do you mean with "newest boards"? I mean, has something changed electronically on the newest boards, or is it simply thanks to a newer and improved firmware version (which may also become released for "older" boards)?

Yes, good point.

What exactly does "newer boards" mean? What has changed?

Also.. FYI

I have had a 256mb and 512mb stick installed to give 768mb Ram. Tested with both Debian and with MOS working nicely. The Ram used (and highly recommended as I personally have seriously stress-tested this type of Ram - like Memtests, extremly heavy and high volume inet traffic, compiling, etc) Samsung pc2700 DDR Ram. Highly reliable and good data rates. It seems that the Pegasos 2 likes their timing or something, which is why the original ODWs where specced with this ram type .. However, I have not tried this combo since the latest OF release..

Speaking of, what is the situation with a new OF?

Additionally, it is very cool that crucial has direct support on their data sheets for "ODW"
