Our top contributors, Cjg, has noticed us that old acceleration method (XAA) is capable to perform 1500FPS on iBook G4 equipped with Radeon 9550.

We suggest to use xorg.conf templates from our website section.

that's incredible that we must do a party for only 1500 FPS, lol!

It's a shame the Radeon 9550 doesn't work in Pegasos or Efika.

FPS in what? GLXGears? I doubt the accuracy and usefulness of a test which has less than 100 non-textured polygons on it.

Especially when you could be running Quake III?!

yes, i was talking about glxgears.

i've just now installed Quake3 on my iBook G4 1.33GHz...
i've used ioquake3.org installer: at the best graphics (32bit,1024x768 full screen, high, vertex, trilinear) and best audio quality i've a fluent game. Using four.dm_68 demo i got about 50-60 to 70-80 FPS with a lot of fighting models.

i hope this is useful.
